STAND ALONE (RIGLESS) SNUBBING RIGS (9 UNITS)
Stand Alone Snubbing Units

The Stand Alone Snubbing System® was designed and developed by High Arctic in 1997 primarily to assist in the completion of shallow gas wells in place of a workover rig / Rig Assist combination. This unique system has continued to develop with the introduction of a larger capacity pump, Class III BOP systems and flow recovery equipment. This system is capable of tripping tubing with an automated pipe handling system to an excess of 3,500 meters, with an average trip time of one joint per minute and a lifting capability of 120,000 pounds. The equipment that accompanies this rigless snubbing system conforms to all government requirements regarding spacing, well kill, and BOP regulations. The Stand Alone Snubbing System® allows wells to be completed, while eliminating the use of a conventional service rig and Rig Assist combination by providing all self-contained support equipment required for its operation. High Arctic has developed a Load Management System that allows work to be conducted on the wellbore without the transfer of the extra weight to the wellhead, minimize ground disturbances and enables the Stand Along Snubbing System® to be free standing. The Stand Alone Snubbing System® increases safety by eliminating the possibility of communications gap between the service rig driller and the snubbing operator.

This unit and ancillary equipment can be moved on location, rigged in, and pressure tested within 1 1/2 hours. The unit has the same four slip configuration as the Rig Assist Snubbing System which allows it to maintain complete control of the tubulars while snubbing light pipe or running heavy pipe. The Picker is used while rigging up equipment as the main source of lift on location. After all of the main lifts are completed, the boom is extended and it becomes the pipe handling mast. In conjunction with the basket mounted pipe handling winch it can effectively and safely handle tubing or drill pipe as it is jacked in or out of the well. The Unit has a Truck Mounted Tri-plex Pump and a 50 bbl two compartment tank. This will meet all the pumping needs for Class II operations. Additional volume can be brought to location for larger pumping needs.
