Fabrication Division The High Arctic welding facility uses state of the art cutting and welding equipment. Our team is equipped with all Lincoln electric welders such as the Lincoln Power Mig 255 and 300, Lincoln Invertec V350 pro and the Lincoln portable diesel 305D with portable plasma cutting capabilities. The cutting tools that we use are the Hyd-mech S-20 band saw,one Thermal Dynamic cut master 81 plasma cutter and one Thermal Dynamic cut master 51 plasma cutter that is compatible with the 305D portable welder for on site plasma cutting. We also have a Scotchman 8510-20M iron worker that allows us to shear 14" of 1" thick steel and punch a 1 1/16 hole through 1" plate. We have 9,600 sq. ft. dedicated to welding, maintenance and manufacturing of HAES equipment. This area is equipped to handle some of HAES largest iron which includes our Underbalanced Rigs and our Hydraulic Workover units. HAES produces a lot of our own equipment. For example, the support equipment for the Underbalanced Rigs, such as the dog houses, truck mounted accumulator systems and steam units with generator sets. Some of the other things that are done in-house include, the piping and manifold system for our surface recovery systems, the building of a testing unit for our Rotating Flow Control Heads and producing Snubbing Units that is able to travel on 75% road bans. Our welding department is one of the safest welding facilities around. We have six 24" wall mounted exhaust fans, four wall mounted smoke eaters and two portable smoke eaters. There is a 16Í tall yellow flash protection curtain installed to protect persons outside of the welding area. There is a two day course that is required before anyone is allowed to operate one of the four 10 ton dual hook over head cranes. |
