300K RAPAD™ DRILLING RIGS
RAPAD Drilling Rig

The 300K RAPAD™ Drilling Rig is an illustration of High Arctic's latest focus. The 300K RAPAD™ Rig is the second generation to the 250K UB Rig technology introduced by High Arctic in 2005. The RAPAD™ Rig is a multi-purpose, highly mobile, land-based rig that rigs up faster, and has fewer loads than an equivalent conventional drilling rig. It also has the ability to spud, drill and complete a wellbore, both conventionally and/or underbalanced.

These 300K RAPAD™ Rig can lift 300,000 pounds in a conventional manner and snub 125,000-pounds. The 300K RAPAD™ Rig is a self-contained unit capable of drilling, workover and snubbing operations that are currently being conducted by a conventional drilling rig, followed by a conventional service rig and snubbing unit combination. The 300K RAPAD™ Rig can spud, drill and complete a wellbore, which provides cost savings in mobilization, demobilization and set-up costs.

The 300K RAPAD™ Rig has an automated tripping procedure with a 24 m mast, thus safely increasing the speed at which the drill string is tripped. The 300K RAPAD™ Rig allows for a number of BOP stack configurations to be added, while maintaining standard drilling and tripping capabilities. The 300K RAPAD™ Rig utilizes a state of the art PLC electronic-over-hydraulic operating system to control and monitor operations and thereby reduces the opportunity for human error. The 300K RAPAD™ Rig has a smaller footprint than conventional drilling or service rigs, allowing drilling in tighter locations and providing minimal land disturbance. Its Integrated capabilities can reduce additional third party charges by performing various drilling and open hole operations such as open hole drilling, side tracking, completions, snubbing or fishing operations.
