SAFETY

Safety is a paramount commitment demonstrated by all High Arctic management and staff. At the forefront of this dedication is a strong safety and loss control program, which serves to protect the staff, property and general public from potential incidents.

High Arctic maintains the Certificate of Recognition (COR) annually, which is granted by Alberta Human Resources and Employment to those companies who have demonstrated health and safety standards that meet or exceed established standards. As a result, High Arctic is continually updating policies and procedures to ensure that we are in compliance with such established standards. In 2002, High Arctic became ISO 9001:2000 certified.

The company goal is to provide a program that emphasizes this strong commitment to the health and safety of its employees, the safety of contractors, customers and fellow workers on work sites. Accordingly, the company strictly enforces a Drug and Alcohol Policy that recognizes that the use of illicit drugs and the misuse of alcohol and medications can limit the employees ability to properly do his/her job, and can have a serious impact on the health and safety of themselves and others.

Our safety culture continues to improve as we continue to grow, which is not only a testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our employees, but to the continuous improvement of the policies, practices and procedures of the Corporate Safety Program. High Arctic strives to be an industry leader in the health and safety aspect of oil and gas operations and is committed to providing the highest quality of service to our customers.
